Vitamin B12 shots are the most common way to prevent or treat a deficiency.Unlike other forms of oral supplements, Vitamin injection is more effective. In general Oral supplements must be digested and absorbed by the body, and to survive through the the process. Our body uses vitamin B-12 to make red blood cells, nerves, DNA and protein. B12 also helps your body metabolise fat and carbohydrates for energy. Although our body is unable to generate B12, the vitamin is readily available from dietary sources including dairy, meat and fish.
